All About Me
My name is Josie Beecheno, and I founded Private Pursuit Investigations to offer a modern, ethical, and compassionate approach to private investigation across Queensland — from the Sunshine Coast to Brisbane and beyond.
My journey into investigations began long before the business itself. With a double degree in Criminology & Criminal Justice and Psychology, I developed a fascination with human behavior, truth-seeking, and the power of factual evidence. Early in my career I worked in regulatory and compliance roles within the Queensland Government — including Liquor & Gaming Regulation and Client Service Officer positions within the Queensland Courts and Queensland Police Service. Those years gave me invaluable experience in case management, evidence collection, witness statements, policy and procedures and how small details can change the outcome of an investigation.
Over time, I realized what truly motivated me wasn’t just policy or process — it was helping people find answers during the most stressful and uncertain moments of their lives. That’s what led me to obtain my Private Investigator Licence and Certificate III in Investigative Services, and to start a service designed around empathy, discretion, and results.
Through Private Pursuit Investigations, I now specialize in:

What sets my work apart is my dual background: the analytical structure of criminology paired with the human understanding from psychology. I approach every case with methodical planning, honest communication, and respect for the emotions involved. My goal is always to uncover facts, not assumptions, so clients can make informed decisions with confidence.
